This is my first attempt at some sort of blended composite… I know, its probably not the best, but I kinda like it! Odds are I will probably share at least 2 of these images on their own at some point down the road.
The lovely lady in the photos is, again, Anna! These were all shot on my Canon EOS Rebel T2 on two different types of film (LegacyPro 400 B&W and Fuji Superia 400 Color). I edited them together using GIMP (which is basically free Photoshop, only not as fancy, which is fine because I don’t like doing a ton of post work most of the time, so it serves me just fine).

About The Rolls Of Film I Got Back Today:

There is a ton of film grain on the B&Ws!!! I love it! And as for the roll I posted about here, it was 11 shots of B&W which I used to shoot the solar eclipse, its really interesting actually, because of the UV and Polarizing lenses, they kind of look like night shots, only with lots of lens flare. More to come on that later.

Katelin.Circa July 24, 2010.San Jose, CA.Digital.
Taken in color. Edited with B&W and soft glow (maybe auto white balance and contrast).
This was not too long after we first met. Katelin had just kinda did a tiny re-invent by getting her hair done and after taking some natural shots, I put a tiny bit of liner and mascara on her. She wanted photos done that she could have right away so we went to a park with her point and shoot digital and did a mini shoot. I don’t usually do digital (and as I’ve said before, color isn’t my strong suit, and I did work on this one in post to make it B&W. There are a few color ones that I’ll be putting up too, though), but its what she wanted, and we got a few really good shots!
I’m gonna be moving my stuff from my Flickr over here, I’ll do my best not to do re-posts, but no promises (especially if I really like the photo!).

Upload from disc. Another attempt at a color shoot. This time it was medium format. I’m still thinking I’m not the best with color, but well, it takes practice.  Oh, and also, I guess I should add that I did tweak the levels a bit, they were a bit on the flat side… It looks a lot better. Still getting used to the camera and add color film on top, they were guaranteed to be a bit off. Practice PRACTICE!!! <3

Personal Blog

As I promised, this blog will now continue just being for my photography. Hopefully there will be more soon, but for now I have created a second blog so that those of you here for my photo work don’t have to deal with my rants if you don’t want to. Yay!
